It has been long known that there are many benefits to regular exercise. I’ve always placed exercise as something of relative importance in my struggle to stay healthy both mentally and physically. Of course, actually getting around to doing the exercise as often as I feel I should has been only marginally successful, thanks to the difficulties of being consistent while having ADHD, but I never stopped to consider that not only is exercise important in general, it may be particularly important in helping to alleviate some of the symptoms of my ADHD.
Not All Who Have Anxiety Are Human
As I have stated many times before, I have a pretty solid case of social anxiety. It affects me on many levels in ways that never occurred to me that were even likely. But there is another, important member of my family that also suffers from anxiety, my son’s dog Cory. Today I want to talk about him and the ways in which we have tried to ease his anxiety.
It’s Okay to Need Medication
One of my pet peeves is when people say stuff like “If the medication were working, you wouldn’t have to keep taking it.”
That’s crap.
The medication IS working.
That’s WHY you keep taking it.
